My First Graded Coin Buy - Coin Community Forum

BgCollector New Member United States 21 Posts	Posted 02/04/2012 4:44 pm My first graded coin purchase has just arrived - Jefferson's Liberty $10 gold coin. The PCGS label says First Strike PR70DCAM: http://www.ebay.com/itm/22094182864....m1497.l2649 However, checking PCGS Cet Verification service (cert #12056637), it turned out it is not registered as a first strike. I know that the coin had been sold out the very first day of release and technically speaking it should be first strike, but should I worry? Report this Post to the Staff

The cert number you provided is not for a FS coin and the submitter must pay extra for the FS label. The coin pictured is clearly in a First Strike labeled slab and the $960 hammer price is market correct. You have PayPal protection (I hope) if you do not the receive the coin pictured, so I wouldn't be worried but am curious as to where you obtained the cert number. No Worries ... just a PCGS typo while entering the coin info into their database. Send them a note with the cert# and they will correct it.
