Hey ya'll. I am brand new to this community and fired up about it! I have 4 coins to start my collection, and I need some help identifying them. I think the first one might be Hadrian ... but I really have no idea. Thanks!

cbrabha, we can surely identify your coins but we'll need photos of them first.

I tried to ID your images, but they are too small. When I increase the size they become too out of focus. The first coin needs to be darkened so I can read the legend. It's too bright. However, the portrait looks very detailed but it doesn't look like a Hadrian unless it is a provincial coin. Hadrian portraits are very distinctive. If you can take closer pictures we may be able to help attribute them. Again, I would like to welcome you to this forum and hope you stick around to show off your coins. Regards,

From what I can see on the larger image the legend looks like it might be from a Roman provinical coin. That's all I can tell until we see larger and clearer images.

Welcome cbrabha,
I agree with jwharper, the pictures are just too small to see well.
If you can, first crop them pretty close on your computer and size them to about 80 kb. Then use the upload image function on the 'Reply to Topic' page. They should be OK then.

Ok, this is taking a bit, so I'll put em out over a couple of replies. I think this first one is going to be the most difficult. Let's see how these look once the post is up.

They still look too bright. I'll take some more pictures and get them posted up soon. Thanks again for all your help.

Here's the third. I can't get the pictures to come out right on the smaller ones. I might call it a night on those and work with them more later.

I believe the above is Constantius II (Constantine the greats son) dated 347-348AD, I cant say where it was minted though, sorry.
DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AVG VOT / XX / MVLT / XXX
The second of the set of three you posted is Claudius II or Gallienus but will need to see more to expand on this. The last of the three I'm not sure about and even though the single coin is in the best condition I'm rubbish with Greek lettering so cant help atm. echizento is correct about it, its a Roman provincial.
