whats the deal with 1957-d pennies.. if you see a die fill , just look at the date and it probably the 57. he is one with fat letters. it has the most beautiful full purple cameo also. what happened to make it this way ?

In my opinion, it's just wear on the coin. The letters/numbers look fatter because they've worn down so that the thicker portions of the characters remain.

the lettering is tall though, and the revease is the same lettering qualities as the obv. and the wheat lines are in visible shape. the coin is in bu like condition with clear fields

The coin looks like someone may have done something with it. The high spots show evidence of contact. The rims also show a contact mark on them as well.

i found it in a bank roll. its circu. for sure, I'm gonna take a picture instead of this scan maybe.. thanks again

Include a close up of the devices and the reverse as well. that might tell if it was squashed or not.

The way you set up your message you can add more images after the tag hit enter and add another image and so on.

Closer image would help. Here is another 1957 and the devices don't seem as large:

Do you have a macro feature on your camera? You might try using a loupe and enlarge your images take a shot through the loupe. Mine are taken through a microscope. Always nice to have a few thousand images under your belt.

i have a 600.00 camera that has macro but it doesn't do the job.. I have a microscope too, but no way to use for pics.

I take images through one eye piece of the microscope.

The macro probably don't turn on automatically. On mine I have to turn it on. It is shaped like a "Flower in a pot" on the screen.
