Dear all, I am the owner of a Friesland lion thaler, where I'm not able to identify the date. The obverse legend is the traditional " Mo:No:Arg: date Ordin:Fri. The first two digits of the date are difficult to read, while the two last digits seams to be 61. Now,
- cannot be 1561, as the first thalers of this type were minted in 1575
- cannot be 1661, as the last Friesland thalers of this type, according to the standard catalogue I use (Krause), were minted in 1653. And most of those of the XVII century have a fully different legend on the obverse.

The reverse is again fully traditional, lion and "CONFIDENS.DNO.NON.MOVETUR"

Would you be so kind to let me have your opinion ? Thanks a lot and best regards.
