My first ship wreck coin!

Google Admiral Gardner and Soho Mint if you would like to know more about this coin. Very Interesting!

Does anyone know what the non-English writing is and what it says? Any help is appreciated:)

Very neat coin!

I have one as well which came with a reproduction of a contemporary booklet on the wreck of the ship. The non-English writing on the back is Persian, and it gives the value of the coin (essentially the equivalent of the English "X CASH" beneath it).

I have a pair of these with minimal salt water corrosion.
They are not of great value; I bought mine for $15, about 10 years ago.
Interesting nevertheless.

There is one dealer on ebay who has bright shiny specimens of this coin for sale every week. There must have been a tonnage mother load in that wreck to account for how readily available and inexpensive they are.

The reason why they all are in relative good condition is when they excavated the coins they were still sealed in containers with wax.just like the day they were minted in Britain. If it was not for the wax there would have been almost nothing salvageable left as copper and water just don't mix especially salt water. Bought the below coin on ebay last year it came in a Blanchard Folder.
