Just won this beauty last night (sorry Muddler... I know you were watching it also)... I'll take photos when it arrives and post them. The seller did have some really good photos however and I think this one has the potential to come in quite north of MS66. Thoughts NS, Muddy, et al? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...IBSA:US:3160

Great pick up Charles. I failed to bid on it as I was focused on the Superbowl. The sellers photos were excellent and I hope that it shows just as nice in hand.

Wow!
That's what the Superbowl have effect on bidders. Nice pickup for that price!

Which one of you posted it in another thread? I was going to bid seriously on that one but had just bought a couple key dates and a bunch of other stuff last week and suddenly started feeling queasy about shelling out another $100+. That's an amazing price though.

I find it hard to grade anything above MS-65 by photos so I really can't comment on the grade you said you believe it is. I love the design and if I wasn't trying to put commems in my album that only has an eagle on them This would have been one of the designs I would have purchased for it just because of the subject matter of the coin

@Bryan .. I agree with you on the difficulty grading these. The reason I think (hope) this is a really high grade is I compared it with a Heritage-sold MS-68 and could detect no differences in detail, luster or lack of blemishes/rubs. We know that that goes though... If I send it in for grading, AU-58? Kidding! (I hope!) The seller had some good quality photos of it and I've bought some great stuff from him in the past (never disappointed)... PG

Wow ... fabulous coin PG and an absolute steal at $151. . Wish I had been following it ... then the CCF battle would have been on. I've been all over it with my eyes based on the seller excellent photos ... see a few very minor nicks and bumps. My opinion ... PCGS would holder this at MS67 ... that makes it a $700 coin and the bargain of the year so far amongst our small commemorative family. I am proud of your score on this fabulous coin. David

Excellent detail photos PG. Much nicer than any I could produce. Sooo ... what is going on with the obverse rim between 3pm to 4pm ... appears 'squished' a bit? Nonetheless .... I'm sticking with my grade guess stated prior ... Quote: My opinion ... Looking forward to PCGS views. David

I really think it will go at least MS 66, such a beautiful coin.

Are we opening a pool on what the Oregon comes back at? I've got my money on 67, and if it comes back below 66 I'll go down the the PCGS offices to deliver beatings personally.
