On this medal is the name " BERANL ".....By chance does any one know if this is the name of a player at that time, person associated with the club or some thing else.

In researching I have found the club's history is very interesting, how ever the name BERANL on this medal eludes me..A bit of the history is as follows:

"Ferencvárosi TC a sports club in the ninth district of Budapest Hungary was formed in 1899. The club included many divisions such as men's ice hockey, curling, women's soccer, wrestling and cycling to name a few. Out of all of the different divisions the mens soccer (football) team is the best known and followed through out the country.

The Hungarian Football Federation was founded in January of 1901. The first championship game consisted of five teams all from Budapest competing for the title. Team Budapesti TC was the winner of this first event and they also captured the title the following year.

In 1903 the Ferencvárosi Torna Club men's football team won their first league championship. Their second championship win came two years later in 1905.

From the first championships in 1901 Ferencvárosi TC has competed in all the first division matches up to and until the 2006 - 2007 season in which the team was not able to meet the financial requirements and they were then placed in the second tier of football in Hungary known as the National Championship II.

Ferencváros TC is reconized as the most successful winning men's football Hungarian team with 28 wins at the Hungarian National Championship, and 20 wins at the Hungarian Cup."

This Ferencvárosi Torna Club 1905 medal in it's original box is a testament of champions.

I don't speak Hungarian, so I cannot really help here. But those dots may be dividers, indicating an abbreviation: "BER · ANL · 1905" ...
