I just found this in my dad's old coin collection and we were wondering where and when it's from. I'm sorry for the bad quality pictures...

Hello and welcome.

It is indeed Islamic, but not technically a coin. It's a Southeast Asian pilgrim token, a kind of "good luck charm", especially given to people going on the pilgrimage to Mecca. The elaborate border is copied from the British Trade dollar.
