1948 Half Penny With Fault? Is This Anything?

Old school purests would frown upon such a coin because they are looking for perfection. Variety & error collectors would snap it up for a little more than regular value. enworb Pillar of the Community Australia 4411 Posts	Posted 02/08/2012 06:51 am I think even a little spot of verd ruins most Australian coins. The only coins you would maybe permit it are the 1930 penny and 1923 halfpenny. I put all these in a seperate bag otherwise it spreads onto other coins. I think you could reduce the size of the growth on your one by using olive oil and a cotton bud and rubbing the spot with them. Its up to you whether you keep it or not. If it doesn't bother you too much keep it but dont have it in contact with other coins. Report this Post to the Staff

Would this coin be worth any less cleaned than it is with that horrible blob on it? I noticed that 1 of those 1925 pennies is a broken n, I'll take some shots in the daylight tomorrow and post them for opinions. Report this Post to the Staff
