A member of our community is going through some really hard medical, emotional and financial times.
This person would never ask for anything from anyone. So I am asking each of you to donate a coin, any coin any condition to be sent to this member. To help raise their spirits..
If you need any further information I would be happy to disscuss this offline with you, but I believe we need to protect This members idenity.
You can verify this posting with the forum administrator Susan.
I would be happy to email my snail mail address to anyone who whould like to make a donation. rggoodie aka Richard "catch em doing something right"

By coincidence or fate, I have something right here on my desk that fits the bill. It even has the slightest bit of rim toning. If left in the small envelope it is in, it might get more in a few years. Let me know to where and I can get it out in the PO this Saturday.

Susan, I recently found a charity auction on CU. He has Raised alot of $$$ for a great cause. I was wondering if anyone wanted to do that here. I bought some nice coins from this auction. Please see the link. I'll post pics when I get the coins. Just thought it was a good idea. http://charity.jkwd.com/items.html

I have seen other ones they've had and I think it's a great idea in some cases. In this particular one, I don't think it would be the best thing to do, as I know this particular individual would not accept money. However, I am very open to this idea for the future if the cause or need arises. Thanks, Grovey!

Those kind of auctions can be done pretty well on a forum. CU is big so they get a lot of stuff. But, even on my site, we raised several hundred dollars for Tsunami relief a while back. Certainly somehting to keep in mind.

It was a good auction. it finally emded last night. This is what I won 1940 lincoln NGC MS66 - $26.00 2004 P & d box of mint keelboat nickles (2 rolls)- $20.00 1941 Mercury- PCGS ms66- $76.00 1961d Franklin half ANACS MS64- $13.00 1964 proof set - $25.00.. I havent seen it yet so there may be something worthwhile in there. Besides its all for a good cause anyway. So I don't think I really "overpaid".
