i have a quarter that is heads on both sides one side is a 1995 P the other side is a1996P was wondering if anyone else had ran across this coin

dont know if its a magician coin or not but everyone that has looked at it says its a real quarter

Hi larrye

They are made from real quarters if you look closely arounf the rim you will find where they have been joined,, one hollowed out one shaved down and made to fit inside the other, it is not possible to have 2 different dates on the same quarter,, since the previous years dies are destroyed at the end of the yearly run.

Let alone the fact that the obverse dies and reverse dies are different shapes and don't fit into the press so that two obverses could match up.
