Poboxw, your son is a most fortunate 3 yr old. You've assembled a most beautiful collection!! I truly appreciate the time you have taken to add the photos!! This thread really should be a sticky, for people to use as a reference the see samples of world bullion in one spot. This thread was mentioned in another thread, so I'm glad I found it.

I love the Ural Owl, it's the one coin crystals do enhance, as opposed to being a distraction. I know it's an expensive coin, but was surprised to see it at $1000-$1300 Cad. The other puzzling thing was, seeing counterfeits selling for $100-$175 Cad in sold history. I read a few ads and they're silver plated brass. However, most of the sellers give the coins real stats and don't mention it's the silver plated brass version.

This is the real part of the hobby that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I can't imagine the number of people getting turned off by all these fakes, yet the world mints don't seem to take action!! It's one stunning set, for those able to get it at issue price.

My next coin that I'm captivated by are the elephant bullion, absolutely stunning & detailed designs!! I can see why Yup likes the series. It's been a treat looking at the photos!! I hope you keep adding photos as you add more to your stash! Are you still buying bullion and what are your current favorite? It certainly shows collecting bullion doesn't need to be boring!!

Wow poboxw, all I can say is what a superb collection!

While I agree with everyone that said the Owl is stunning, my favourite is the Kangaroo at Sunset

I have a question about the Halogram Maples. Two of them look very similar. I recognize the 2001 from the privy mark, the other one I'm not sure. Was there two that year and I missed one?

Again, what a beautiful collection!

Ray

Agaupt,

Can't be totally sure but from checking my own inventory, this is my best guess:

Thanks for the help.

The 2003 Good Fortune is the coin on bottom left. The pictured coins are:
(top l to r) 2011 Maple of Happiness, ?, 2005 Maple Leaf of Hope
(bottom l to r) 2003 Good Fortune, 2002 Anniversary Loon, 2001 Hologram Maple.

I had been searching 2001 or something between 2005-2011 based on the organization in the picture. Because of your answer I did a new search with 2003 and think I found the coin.
It's in the 2003 Fractional set:

I'm gonna go with that unless poboxw confirms it's something else. Thanks again for the tip.
