I found a 1981s clear of Susan b Anthony and the dealer told me it worth $1 and I want to know what the different too a clear proof.? And should I sell my pocket change or use it as it is? Depending upon the condition and if it is a type 1 or type 2 coin, will determine if it is worth more than a $1 or not. A proof is a manufacturing process. Even if the coin was BU, it is only worth about $3-$5 at the very most. The clear mintmark is only for the San Francisco proofs and yours isn't a proof.
