That is pretty well worn. Looks VG-F to me.

Thanks muddler ... hoping Steven sees this post ... I believe he needs that one.

Appears to be even more worn than my current 1934 Texas ... which I grade in hand at F12:

Low-Grade-Texas

Hmmmm ... maybe I'm interested?

Will not pursue if Steven is doing so.

David, I thought yours had a bit more wear on it but I remember someone had mentioned they really liked your circulated Texas example so that is why I posted it here.

Agreed ... mine is worn enough ... will not chase this example ... but truly hoping that Steven (Low Ball Commem) sees this thread.

Thanks Dave!

I did see the Texas commem and think that I will place a bid on it (I think your's looks has a better look (about the same wear)). The Arkansas that the seller also has looks interesting. The only concerning thing about the Arkansas Half is what appears to be green debris on the reverse.

Thank you for the post Muddler.

Hoping you win that Texas Steven.

Price right now is low IMHO .... will most likely go over $80 ... but a very nice example of a great circulated classic silver commemorative.

I have that Arkansas on my Watch List ... do not mind the green crud on the reverse ... believe a gentle acetone wash will resolve.

I grade the Arkansas by photo VG10/F12 or so ... and that is a very tough coin indeed to find in honestly circulated condition.

If you want that one as well ... better pull the bidding wallet out.

Soooo .... the bids are in ... and I hope Steven won this 1934 Texas.

25 bidders for the Texas ... final E-Pray price was $78. Close enough to my guess of 'over $80'.

Slightly off-topic for this thread ... but I did win the VG10 or so Arkansas that Steven mentioned ... and was abused at the end by snipe bids.

With 80 seconds to go I was in the lead at $70.07 ... my max bid was not going to be beat ... and in those last 80 seconds the final price was pushed to $167.44.

Total of 18 bids for the Arkansas ... this one would grade as the second lowest ever certified by PCGS if I chose to submit it ... which I will not.

Hoping that Steven and I both have new low ball commemorative on the way.

I did win the Texas. Nice coin (I did notice a nick on the reverse), but I still like yours better David. Also, congratulations on the Arkansas, David! On the Arkansas I bid up to $78.99. I was shocked that the sniping got so out of hand at the end. I think you got a great coin. The acetone should work. I had a similar issue with a large cent and was able to remove the green debris from that coin with nail polish remover.

Excellent news Steven on your winning that 1934 Texas.

I was hoping you could add this great coin to your fine and growing circulated classic silver commemorative set ... and as such I stayed away from the auction.

Lets agree to share CCF photos in our existing low-ball threads when our respective coins arrive.

BTW ... geepers amigo ...

Please do not ever do that again.

Purchase from your local hardware store a can of pure acetone ... highly flammable stuff mind you ... but it leaves no residue behind.

Nail polish remover damages coins with the added chemicals ... pure acetone gently applied removes all organic materials and is never noticed when carefully done.

I'm hoping to apply that technique to the reverse of my new Arkansas half.
