Yes, it appears to be a bronze coin of Ptolemaic Egypt, circa 250-100 BC. There's a large variety of bronze coins from this kingdom and virtually all the rulers were named "Ptolemy", so trying to narrow down the date range can be tricky. CHeck out this website which illustrates numerous classes of these coins.

I think I read King Ptolemy on the reverse.
The center depression may not be damage, but part of the process to prepare flans.
