Hi all, I hope this is where I can post this. I am checking to see if anyone has bought and coins from them before? I just received what was to be a PQ Bu 1923-s Peace dollar. At first glance I noticed a die crack going from the 9 in the date up to and through the L I in Liberty. Cool I thought I got a VAM maybe top 40. Looked it up turns out it is a VAM 1 BN. Nothing to right home about. So I looked at the coin more. It looked like it had been cleaned or polished. So I took it to a friend who is pretty good with both of these things. She told me it was a minor VAM and it also appeared to be polished or cleaned. So it was comfirmed. Called them and told them I was sending it back and to please refund my money.

So is there a really good online store/company that anyone can direct me to. I already have a Heritage account but this is for my 7070 set so not a big investment typeof coin purchases for right now.

Thanks~

I have never dealt with them but 98% of dealers are trustworthy and I am sure this one is as well judging by what I have read from other web sites about them. I went to their website and it says "Skyline is one of the largest providers of US coins and currency in the country. We pride ourselves on the depth of our inventory. We almost always have the coins that our customers need on hand. And on the rare occasion when our customer is looking for something which we don't have, we pride ourselves on our ability to acquire hard-to-find items quickly and at no great cost to our customers. Skyline has been selling coins for 12 years, advertising in Coin World and Numismatic News all the while, and we stand by our excellent reputation. If you are looking for rare (or common) coins and paper money, we think that you will be happy with our prices and impressed with our top notch customer service." so if this is true I am pretty sure you will not have any problems. I would probably send it back to them with delivery confirmation or signature confirmation so you can prove you did send it back to them, but besides that I do not think you should have much to worry about. Did you pay them with paypal or anything? the reason I ask is, if you did pay them that way you will want to make sure you get delivery confirmation so you can file a claim with them if necessary and have your ducks in a row

Thanks Bryan1315! I sent it back and I picked up a great looking BU Peace dollar today at a local coin show here. They have nice adds and maybe I will give them a try again later.
