That Grant must have had a huge strike before someone carried it around in their pocket for 50 years. 
Here are 3 coins that were graded MS67 by PCGS. The monogram is very strong in two coins and almost not there in the other. You would think that it would be somewhat dependent on strike? But it seems that the coin with the most detail on the collar (bottom) is the strongest in both areas yet the top photo lacks collar detail but has a strong monogram. Maybe different dies? This seems a mystery.
On the one I have, at first glance in hand I thought it was a bagmark until I looked under mag and saw that it was indeed the monogram.
