I really like the Nero / Roma types and had my eye on a Sestertius that I really couldn't afford. So, I settled on this Dupondius. Still quite happy with it! Nero (A.D. 54 - 68) AE Dupondius, A.D. 64-68, Rome, 28mm, 14.65g, 180°, RIC 296. Obv: NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P. Radiate head right. Rev: Roma, helmeted, in military dress, seated left on cuirass, surrounded by arms; S C in field, ROMA in ex.

Nice coin. I don't have Nero yet and don't expect to find one that I like (and that is within my budget) anytime soon.

I don't have Nero either. Way beyond my budget as well.
That is a nice coin with decent details.

Nice! These larger bronzes look good even when worn.

I dream of having one of these in EF! One like this would do as a worthy placeholder. Nice coin. Martin

Yeah I really wanted the Sestertius, it was EF. But it was almost 4 times the price of this one. I'm more than satisfied with this dupondius. :)
