Got this two dollar bill off ebay, paid $108.00. I might of over paid a little but I've been looking for this note awhile and it seemed most auctions were going $125 +. Any grade idea?

Thanks,
Ryan

Looks great but it's very hard to tell a grade just by looking at photos, from what I can tell it's clean, has good eye appeal, and doesn't seem to have any hard folds must be VF or XF, and if it is in that grade range I think it was a very good price

Seems like a VF to me. Paper is broken in at least two places, perhaps 3. Those were not light folds too. Corners show some sign that they are worn but not too much. I would definitely not grade it as XF.

My first guess (from the picture only) is that the note is closer to fine than VF; but I'm not at all good in grading "American style", only "European style".

Yeah, it's about VF.
Possibly Fine if it's not as crisp as it looks..

You guys must have much younger eyes than me . Without actually "seeing" it I would still say it's at least VF. I can up load a photo of what a VF note looks like that's been graded by a professional grader if need be, and for sure it don't look like that $ 2.00

I was going by all the wear lines seen on Jefferson's portrait. Just seems like too many for an EF note to me.

Ok,
Now I see them, had to use a glass but your right they are there, still a nice looking note and for my eyes I would still say high F, or maybe low VF. Bet I could still get a job with PCGS

Thnks for the input. I've always wanted a 1917 two dollar. I have a pretty nice 1917 dollar so I wanted to have them both .
