My take on slabbing silver rounds, in this case
ASE. The one to collect is the 1996 due to the low mintage. Low mintage is 3,603,000. Which doesn't seem too low to me. Yes it is low compared to other
ASE. But 3,603,000 is a lot of silver eagles
The premium that one would pay for a slabbed bullion round would be better spent buying more precious metal, in the hope of it appreciating in value. If one was a numismatist. Slabbing a fine example of a 1932-S
Washington quarter makes sense for the owner when he would like to take that quarter and test the market. Put not silver bullion. Just MHO.
