I have collected shot glasses from all the places I have visited. They sit next to the grog bottles and are nice to look at and remember sometimes. When I was a little younger I got into collecting rocks. It was never anything special but I still have my collection and the interest for them but don't add to it anymore. Now studying Geology this year at University so might start adding to it soon.

Timsumrall, I have an old Winchester lock that looks like that. I will try to get a photo up of it sometime. I have it hanging on the wall in my bar with a lot of other old western stuff.

Quote: 34 total snakes right now Yeah your into the hobby big time. A lot of resources goes in to such an undertaking. I almost picked up a Brazilian once, they are so beautiful, but I decided to just stick with my Okeetee.

I am getting my 8 year old son started in breeding the BRB's. Hopefully he can sock all that money away to buy him his first car in about 8 years. Seeing that retail is about $200 a baby I think he will do well. As far as resources going into it, I have a room dedicated to them that is climate controlled and filled from top to bottom with cages. I also have to have my own freezer for feeders and spend about $150 a month on feeders depending on the time of year. Getting started was a pain in the butt and took some good money, but after a few years it starts to pay for itself and maintains easier than you would think.

I recently started collecting world coins, but before that, I have been collecting firearms (49 of them), shot glasses, watches, knives, swords, tie clips, umm just about anything that looks interesting to me. :)

Wow, Tonto is an amazing Boa; and female right? Certainly well fed also. I've never seen anything like that, I understand why it is your favorite.

Besides my new interest in coins there is always my gun collection. Taking a backseat lately has been the knife, St. Louis Cards SGA items and my first collecting passion, 1st edition hardbacks.

As my forum name would suggest, I also collect Jack Daniels items. I went to the distillery today and added some more to it. In quantity my coin collection is larger, but in monetary value my Jack collection wins! Unfortunately, when younger I consumed what would now be about $10,000 worth of collectible Jack.

Thanks Upstate, Tonto is actually a male ball python. His girlfriends are all heterozygos for that color pattern. Makes it cheaper and more profitable that way.

I don't know what scares me more, all the gun, knife, sword, bow collections or the snake collections. I wouldn't be breaking into any of those houses for coins that's for sure!

Quote: I have collected shot glasses from all the places I have visited. It is amazing that some of these replies reminds me of some of my past hobies. Collecting shot glasses used to be one of mine too. Same with all those little baby sized bottles of booze. Shot glasses, matches and those baby bottles of booze were all from an early time of life full of bar hobbing. At one time I had a few hundred of each. That famous word CANCER and many operations made getting rid of anything dealing with booze and/or cigaretts. I think I need to sit down and make a list of all the hobbies I've had in the past, got rid of and/or still have. This post is really helping me remember so many things from my youth.

Only other collections I have are green repair tools (seems odd as I write such) and all ticket stubs from attended sporting events.
And ballcaps ... doesn't every guy, either now or at one time, collected ballcaps?
