If you read the "Certificate of Authenticity" it states that it is plated copper (CU). That's why it's imperative to read the fine print. Kind of a scuz for not putting that up front.

This listing was a violation of ebay policy since it doesn't state in the title or description that the "gold" coin is a replica. I don't know if anything can be done about it now that the auction has ended.

In addition to including appropriate photos, replica coin listings must clearly state that the coin is a "reproduction," "replica," or "copy" in both the title and description.

I don't know whether or not it'll do any good, but I just reported it anyway.

Apparently the guy is serious. ONE DAY ONLY! 'Cause he wants to ship the coins and get out of dodge with the quickness!

I got an email from ebay notifying me they removed the listing. I didn't know they would do that to auctions that were already over. Hopefully they notified the buyer.

every 1933 is basically accounted for anyways, so I really wouldnt see a point with someone confusing a real to a replica in this instance
