1887 Liberty Dollar "o"

coinfish New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 02/20/2012 08:50 am Well my parents were cleaning out the house yesterday and gave me an 1887 Liberty Dollar - New Orleans Mint. It looks to be in near mint condition. I know absolutely nothing about coins. I know it's worth at least its silver weight but any other vaule to this year and mint combination? The value is in the fact that it was a gift from your parents and would be a nice start to a collection. There is also the 1887-O, 7 over 6 variety which has a much higher premium in the higher grades.
