That is just an awesome clip.
The fact that you will never know the real date, in my opinion, makes it so much cooler.

I'm pretty sure it's a 1964, as there isn't a clad layer... It took me so long to find one of these... Would this be worth it to get graded? But the fantastic thing about this coin is that now this coin tops off my modern set of clips: LMC, Jefferson, Jefferson War Nickel, rosie, washington, now Kennedy... Now it's time for an Eisenhower, and the bicentenial issues

If there's no copper, it's surely a '64. Well, I suppose it could be a '65 on a '64 planchet, but what are the odds of that?

I don't think there's any reason to get it graded/certified. It's a common date coin, so 100% of the value here is in the error. That's a big clip, and it's obviously genuine (clear Blakesley effect). For a 10+% clip, is somebody going to pay a lot more for a MS63 over a MS62? Maybe if there was a possibility of it making 66 or 67 it might be worth grading, but it's not close to that kind of grade.

If it's 40% silver clad you can still tell.
Then if so, it's either a 65,66 or a 67.
If not, then it's a 64 90%

I edit my last post since you know the date:
The fact that you cant see the date makes it so much cooler. HA

Nice coin, thanks for sharing.
