I have a 1932 DDO Washington quarter (doubling on earlobe and nostril very evident). It is listed in "The Cherrypicker's Guide" as FS-25-1932-101, and the value in there is indicated at $500 in MS-63 and $750 in MS-65. Mine is probably MS-64 +/- 1, but is it really worth that much (assuming I got it slabbed by a top TPG)? Thanks!

Regards,

neuron,

My Washington quarter Dollar Attribution and Pricing Guide by James Wiles list this variety at about half that, but it is from 1999.

Best way to get pricing is to check for previous auction sales either through ebay and or Heritage Rare Coins(great auction archive).Must be a member at Heritage to search, but joining is free.

hope this helps

I believe that Heritage sold a Anacs MS63 1932 DDO-001 quarter on Sept 13, 2005 for $54.00. Coin appears nice for grade. I would say that that was a rip and I would have kept it for that kind of money. New C.Pickers shows coin at $500.00 in MS63. Perhaps this piece is comming on.
Published prices and reality are seldom the same. I find that published and actual sales values come closer when the coin is a high demand and popular piece. Good luck....Gusp
