I don't get boxes of coins but a few rolls now and then. And too I wish there were some Canadian ones in there. So far the only thing I've got recently are coins that look like they've been in a garden somewhere.

to CCF. I go through about one box a week, used to do two or three. I find a lot of Canadian and once in awhile one from the Bahamas or another country. What is your focus on when searching boxes? John1

I find lots of Canadian nickels when searching boxes. I also find buffalos (usually dateless)and War Nickels regularly. I once found two liberty head nickels in one roll and occasionaly come across an uncirculated or high AU '39 or other older date Jefferson.

Mitch - a very beginner question for you - I ran across a bunch of dateless Buffalo nickles. Are they worth keeping around? Are they of any value other than the "Hey, it's not a normal nickle" stuff? I know I'm not going to be cashing in the $$, but I'm interested nonetheless.

I know that if they have a mint mark there good. Just use vinegar and salt to bring the date out. Other wise give em' to trick or treaters.

Thank you! Mine are probably not worth anything money wise - but I got them from my Grandpa, and he passed away last fall. Time to get a little case to display them!

I get a dollar or two in Canadian coins a month which drive me crazy. I don't collect them which to me is the same as me losing a possible dollar or two face in silver. Admittedly I have found one 50% silver Can quarter and out of the thousands I search a month it's obviously not a huge deal, just that thought in the back of my head that says "what if."

I search mainly dime boxes, and find between 0-25 canadians per box, same with quarter boxes. On the plus side, I have found a roll and a half worth of silver canadian dimes over the last few years, including a 1900 Victoria.
