Can we all take a refresher on what makes a good topic title:

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan dollar....

* Bad: Need help with coin

* Better: Need help with Morgan dollar

* Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan dollar

* Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan dollar

Be as specific as possible so that members can really focus in on desired topics.

Regards,

KK

regardless of good, bad or horrible, a post like this will slowly vanish. That means although it was an attempt to tell people to do something the right way, it will slowly get lost as new posts are entered. Or you could add a reminder every day by adding something to this one. And it would have to be done all year long so as to make sure everyone sees it.
That has always been a problem with people coming up with fantastic ideas for a forum. It is only read for a short time and sometimes not at all. For example a person on vacation for a few weeks may never see this one.

Carl, you are by far the most pessimistic/negative person I've never met.

Comes from the area I grew up in and still do live in that area. So much crime goes on almost everyone is sort of negative.
And HEY, you never met me either.

I do agree with general purpose of this thread. I see so many threads that say "help""what is this""Grade please".
How about a little more info. I skip a lot of threads because I'm not sure what they are for. You might get more help if you were more specific to attract the right person.

Must be a midwest thing. Since I got out of there, I am no longer pessimistic or negative.
