I know this coin has been polished...

The surface of this coin is bubbled, on the obverse and the reverse. I have never seen this before. I'm still trying to figure out my photography situation, so photos are not the best.

Thanks for looking!

Bubbles like that are not commonly encountered on IHC, they look like heat bubbles you get when you torch a zincoln.

Okay, so it is safe to assume that this is PMD?

does this look plated (or not original surfaces, in the very least) to anyone else?

This coin was not struck with bubbles--heat is a likely culprit.
The surfaces/color does not look original--plating/polishing/dipping could be involved.
