The Onion is a online Satirical News Website. I saw this while browsing through it and decided to share. Its short but gave me a chuckle.

darn it. So you're telling me that when I hauled all those pennies down to the electric company to pay my bill, they got the better end of the deal?

If only we could do that! I remember as a kid (around 10 years of age) my dad made a bet on a football game with a co-worker. My father won the bet and the guy paid my dad his winnings by giving him a huge pickle jar full of honey and $20 in pennies. It was really funny at the time because my dad winning the bet was a real long shot and it was a lot of work to clean all of those pennies and roll them, which my dad had me do but let me keep the money.

Although their infographics can be pretty solid too, like this one on Jeremy Lin

"You have to wonder what Obama is thinking invoking the ire of numismatist alloy originalists in an election year." -- Every election season headline ever.

"Sure, that will please his base in the liberal coastal enclaves, but how will it play with suburban, white, Catholic, transgender soccer moms?"

I like the idea of a 6 cent coin. We never had one before, so why not now?

Kind of disappointed in The Onion though. I would have thought they would have put in more effort and did a more lengthy article on it.

It just goes to show it isn't even worth their time to make fun of?
