The St Helena crown sells for a couple of dollars; the French Polynesia 5 francs and the Macao pataca are circulation coins, worth no more than a dollar each. €6.50 for the three seems to be close to the book value, perhaps a little on the high side. For some trivia about the flag visible on the ship on the St Helena coin, see this old thread.

But I was having difficulty finding a coin in circulation. And I am an OFEC :D There was no other way to remove Saint Helena from the list. :D

Thanks svslav. I know, but a little hard to find. I am even having trouble finding coins of some countries such as Paraguay, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Belarus... There are 3 or 4 numismatic shops I know (one is hard to call a numismatic shop.) and they are quite inadequate. Yesterday I ve found an aluminium 1 franc of Belgian Congo rwanda-urundi in the box of cheap coins. In a pile of thousands of coins. But the coin dealer noticed I found something valuable and he asked 10,85 € for it. I wish I'd chosen few coins more from the box. I am sure he would not notice that it's a valuable coin.
edit: oh and that belgian colonial coin was not even in a good condition!

Quote: I am even having trouble finding coins of some countries such as ... Belarus... Belarus has never issued circulating coinage, all of their coins have been NCLT and they are not cheap. At one point I went on a "Belarus spree" and got a few. Apeka, I have a St.Helena penny to share, I tried to send you an email to get your address but wasn't successful.

@vb3347 Thanks. I ve searched all the items in the shop and found only five coins drew my attention. I bought 3 of them.(pics in first post) And I didn't buy belgian congo that I mentioned. The other coin is somaliland commemorative. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Somaliland-...250870543621He wanted 4,30€ for that coin. E-bay price is 10,50€. Have I missed a good opportunity there? I don't think so. What's the relation between titanic and somaliland anyway? @svslav http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MmnBw8tve.../belarus.jpgaren't these circulating coins of belarus. I think you can't pm me because I could not reach the required number of posts yet. What would you recommend me to do in this case?

I haven't seen any evidence of those circulating. With the current exchange rate of US $1 to BYR 8200 a ruble and fractional circulating coins don't make much sense. At this point that set may as well be classified as "patterns" or "play money".
apeka, you cannot PM yet because you don't have 50 posts yet, but I cannot PM you because you haven't chosen to accept emails in your profile.

The Byelorussian coins are patterns made by the Kremnica mint in Slovakia - definately not "play money". They are very rare and as far as I know not available for collectors.
There will not be any circulating coins before the next redenomination, which probably comes in the next few years, unless they finally start using Russian roubles.
