I have a token scanned below that I have never been able to identify. It is the size of a US nickel It has a silvery look but I am sure it is a white metal, although it has a tiny 900, without a decimal point, near the obverse edge at about 4 o'clock. My best guess is that it is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Any experts out there that can identify this token?

Oro Y Plata is the state motto of Montana and means gold and silver. But Sarmiento is some places in Argentina and Chile.

Pharmacy Tokens: When patients left their prescription at the chemist shop they got a token, made of metal or paper, in return. Later, when patients came to collect their medicine they had to return the token in exchange for the medicine. These tokens were mainly used during the 19th century.

Sarmiento with Diagonal is an intersection of two streets in Buenos Aires. This zone was rebuilt circa 1913 (and put name to that streets), then token must be post 1913. Here http://www.compromisodigital.com.ar...Noticia=5411 there is some information about Farmacia del Leon.

About "Oro y Plata der. resc." may be: -gold and silver der(echo) resc(ate)- (rescue rights = if you present this token you will receive your prescription, as Apeka says ) ?
