I'd first ask to see the other side as well, but I'd imagine this is a medal of some sort rather than a coin per se. The pertrait would seem to be possibly that of a figure from the Elizabethan period of English history, maybe Sir Walter Raleigh? Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 03/10/2015 11:58 am Since the medal is flat on the back I would suspect that it was made to fit into something, perhaps some sort of display that had the name of person in the portrait on it.
