If it's real it has been tooled. I don't like the looks of it. I'm think it's fake.

Do You think it's tooled because of low wear on convex side?
If it is/was gold would that account for the deep impressions?

I think the whole coin has been worked on. It just doesn't look right to me.

Are you sure it is gold? The photos look like an overcleaned and tooled copper.

I agree, Doug. it looks like overcleaned copper that has been shot in a yellow light to make it look like gold. I would stay away.
