Surging $30 today. A couple more days like this and it will overtake gold again.

Well look on the bright side...at least you were able to afford that 1oz. I'm no where near being able to buy gold or plat...and how bad I really wanted to. Looking at some charts of back when it was over $2200/oz it is only a matter of time before it goes back that way. I'm sad now :-( Thanks for opening old wounds guys! :-)

Hindsight is always 20/20. Wishing I would have picked up lots of pre-1964 silver coins when it was cheap or could be found at face value in rolls.

I posted a thread about two months ago when platinum was $220 less than gold. It likes it will again surpass gold in the next week or two.

Yea, I had been in the market to buy some platinum but couldnt find anywhere online that had some fractionals without some ridiculous premium...

I never expected platinum to stay under gold forever, lol

I bought some shares in a physical platinum ETF (PPLT) a couple of months ago. It took a dive right after that but has come back rather nicely. I plan to hold this for a while. It is in a small Roth IRA that I have, so 100% of any gains that it creates will be tax free.

Just a matter of time before it over takes gold again, seems like no brainer. I've been buying, added only 1.35 oz though ;(

Well, there are no brainers and then there are no brainers that we actually DO something about.
