Hi all, I figured there are a few collectors of notes on here & I was wondering if anyone who has a $100 CF98 has a funny/odd cut corner on that note? The first two images are from my notes (I did have a third which had tape holding the top corner on but that got spent). Other examples from current ebay listings: I guess the next one is the only one that doesn't have the unusual edge. But it does have a nasty looking crease there. I'm really not sure. I guess I'm just trying to work out if all 555,499 notes had the same bottom right corner/edge.

I was going to have a look at my notes, decided to check my spreadsheet first and found out I don't have any CF98. Rats!
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

You better get onto it. Here's some stats; 1998 saw 17,775,968 $100 printed. The 2011 Vort Report states that 50.6% of Evans/Macfarlane notes are circulating, so 50.6% of it is; 8,994,640 are floating around. The final prefix CF98 was 3.13% of the print. Therefore using stats/numbers & equations, there should be 281,532 still around (out of the initial 555,499 notes). I'm a sTatman...wee bababadabo...flashbacks.

Thanks goatieman for pointing out the bottom cut error of the CF 98 $100 notes. I've checked my notes (which I caught in the wild) and they are not in very good condition but for what its worth, two of the three, serial numbers CF 98681227 and CF 98624130 have the upturned bottom cut on the right side. The third note, serial number CF 98650407 doesn't appear to have the upturned bottom right corner at all. Great work on the statical front, well done and keep the stats coming.

The 601266 is my note and I made mention of the "possible variety" in my ad. Other CF98 notes that I have do not have the cut corner on them.

I would have to sell half my coin collection to get one of these notes to noodle. Bit like Willy Wonka and the Choc Factory ...still my redundancy money could come in useful

Tave, great observation. I never realised, it's a lot less noticeable, but it's there. I checked the two I've got & both are ever so minutely curved. Are you a big collector of polymer's?
Dibby33: get $1,000 aside & every week add $100, change them throughout the week from $50's to $100's (or whichever you prefer noodling), back & forth & you'll find some goodies over time.
I'm noodling through $1,500 of $2 coins at the moment, mainly for stats, mis-strikes (if they exist) & maybe to find a nice 1993 or 2000 (or even a circulated mint set 1991).
