Mountain Dew toned obverse. Maple syrup toned reverse. You grade this 50s toner!

Let me guess, artificial toning or altered surface?

ANACS had to give this at least a MS66, no way it's got altered surfaces that is original mint set toning, or really old Wyatte Raymond acid paper holders, they tone up just like that, I purchased a few old Raymond holders for Morgans for that very reason, though it takes 5-10 years for the toning to come back, and sometimes it's all dark and not that attractive. Probably should grade out at MS67 or MS68 though it's a beauty!

@dgleich- I'm surprised you didn't go in for it any more. It sold for 1/3 of what it would have gone for had it been in a PCGS holder.
Grade MS-66. - and I'm quite confident it will crossover. Will know for sure in a month.

Yes, I really like it and you really got a deal. It may get market graded higher. I spaced it out, otherwise I would have bid. But I am glad you got it. There were some other nice Washingtons as well...
I did get that full step 58-D Jefferson which is very nice as well. That seller must have found a few nice 58 mint sets.

That is amazing it graded that high. The photos don't show it. I would have said something a little lower, like MS-64.

I think it has a good shot at MS67 very original mint set toning!
