Just wanted to share.
Decided to pick up $100.00 worth of dimes (rolls)
at one of my local banks today to pick through. When I walked in, the branch manager recognized me (how could she not:) LOL
and said that she had something for me. Not quite sure what she
mean't at the time but it turned out to be some coins. Oh well :(
Just kiddin there. Anyway, She gave me a bag of 128 ea. Ike's.
My main pick on Ike's is the type 2 rev. I will also keep some decent
type 3 1976's and that's about it. Not into the other stuff on the Ike's. If silver or "S" mints I will also keep those though. Duh !
Nice mix of coins in the bag. Every yr. and m.m. except for the "S" and any silver or 76 type 3. This is my 3rd type 2 from the wild. Found one other Unc. and one high AU. This one should make an easy 62. At least going by other slabbed 62's that I have seen. And those
were not even as nice. After all these yrs. I just found out today that all of the 72-P type 2's were from just one die. Interesting. Guess these things are becoming scarcer in at least higher grades
if any at all. Might get some Ugh's here now as I dropped off the other 127 ea. at my other bank branch. Good part about that is it's a very small branch and they keep all their halfs and large dollars in their small vault so if I decide I need to go and get them back they will be there. This is turning into a novel here, so time to go. Bye :)

I apologize for my ignorance about this type of IKE (I understand the Type I and II 1976 versions) what are the differences in the 1972 Type I, II and III?

I wish my Credit Union manager (or heck any of the tellers) would recognize my when I walk in and escort me to the vault.

Here you go for a start.

As far as the greeting etc. It takes many years
of experience dealing with women. U'm, I mean bank tellers. :)

Thanks for the link...no pictures are showing up at work. Will try again at the house!

The greeting I usually get is "did you get the number of the truck that hit you?"

...so I guess that is recognition!

Nice! 1972 type 2 is a major score!

The link is for the three types of 1972. Is there a third type for 1976?

Very Cool Find
And you are right they are getting dramatically harder to find in higher grades. As if they were actually ever easy to find in high grade in the first place. The good ones are getting into strong hands and they are not parting with them.
It is definitely getting interesting in Ike land.
