It's supposedly a medal celebrating James Cook 300th anniversary on Australia 1770-1970 supposedly silver ,minted by Stokes Australia and also the words 'National Trust of Australia Victoria' any help would be great. The mintage is 3000 bronze, 300 silver. It was designed by famous sculptor-medallist Andor Meszaros, the same person who designed the unofficial "swan dollar". The 2010 price guide supplement for this catalogue lists the silver version of this medal at Au$45. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
