He's got 10 of them, that tells me that you don't get the coin in the photo. The certified one is an ok coin, just overpriced, it retails at about $175 in its condition so if you offer the seller $150, I reckon he'll take it. I wouldn't pay more than $175 for it - we've sold XF40s at the $200-$300 range.

Remember when considering PCGS gradings, the standards are different to raw coin grades in Australia. A PCGS VF25 is about Fine - good Fine to a raw coin dealer in Australia (i.e. a $175 coin).

What--10 1925 1d? What kind of serious coin dealer wouldn't sell those seperately? That sounds very dodgy to me.

that US TPGs shouldn't assume to grade any coin minted outside the US; they donn't always grade US coins correctly either.

The coin in the photo isn't that great, it has a knick behind the king's head, it also has verdigris in the F & last but not least the top of the coin is weakly struck.

But if he's got 10 coins, I'd be requesting photo's of what he considers the best coin.
With 10 coins you'd expect the seller would make more of an effort.

Send him a message by clicking ask a question at the bottom of the listing. I would personally offer $130 and see what he comes back with.
