I'd be grading it as a good Fine (gF). It looks like it has a weak strike towards the bottom. There are a few light rim knocks & also what appears to be a planchet flaw or fault. I wouldn't be buying this, be patient because you'll find many more better that will go for the same price point. Check the link below (it's a list of sold 1925 Penny's between $100-$150): http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?_nkw...md=1&_ipg=50

claired. Depends on what you are after, this one is in average circulated condition and I would grade it as aFine and an affordable coin also in my opinion it isn't a fake. Once you start looking at VF and above coins you will be paying quite a lot more and running the gauntlet with the fakes out there in dodgyland.

Thankyou for your opinions, I think I'll keep my eye on the listings until I find something better, I'm willing to pay more for something better quality but probably under the $200 mark if I can just to add to my collection.

Maybe I'm just a noob at grading but that doesn't look like VF at all, graded by PCGS so I gather it isn't fake?

The coin in the slab would not make the fine grade by Australian standards, almost fine maybe.

From what I can see I agree with aarong. Looks way under VF to me! Be very patient when buying one of these! There is many out there for sale, including many fakes.

That slabbed coin I woulg be grading also as a good Fine. I would not be paying $350 for it. You will find much better than that. I have a couple that I'll be listing when I get round to it which are aVF & VF grades & they'll be starting at 97 cents plus postage. The problem with grading is that everyone see a different grade.

Are they just guessing grades over at PCGS?

Goatieman, I'll make sure to look out for yours - is your ebay name the same?

Just spotted another 1925 Penny (8 pearls) that looks dodgy. Item no 251003527733 (currently at $71). The 2 in the date is sus' and do my eyes fail me or is it an Indian obverse?
