on the 1878 look at VAM-16 and see if that matches, I have one in the SDB and thats how I know about it having tripled and quadrupled stars. The pictures on VW are actually pictures I had taken of my coin http://www.vamworld.com/1878-P+VAM-16

thanks for the pix,the 2 VAM-15s as sold to me are exactly as your pixs show.the LIBERTY is strongly doubled with just the lobe usealong with those extra feathers intact on each side of the eagles legs.one "S" question looking through a microscope at an 1882 the inside of the 8 has like "CAKE LAYERS" within I can count 3 layers(triple strike?maybe) and they also show on the outside around the 8 itself?the stars are single but strong/deep along with all the letters just on the OBSV side..REV isn't as strong/deep on the back side though.how do you take close up pix of your coins?might invest in the gizmo to show you my coins..thanks

if you can post some pictures I am sure we can attribute your Morgans for you. Its really hard to attribute a coin by descriptiopn, I was just going by memory because I have one of the VAM-16's and I noticed your description matched some attributes on my coin so it was just a guess, but with clear pictures we can tell you exactly what you have
