Just pulled this one out of a group I bought for a local coin shop to flip on the Bay. Although it has been harshly cleaned, it did have one really interesting attribute. There is an extensive crack from the rim of the coin, through the last digit of the date and up into Liberty's hair. I'm calling on the Pros from Dover to venture a VAM for me if possible. PG

It looks a lot like planchet Lamination, more so then a break. I have an 1878 P that has something close to this, check to see if the crack runs beyond the die where the reading is!
