I'm guessing here, but with the Cross Patée and Spanish looking armorials, possibly Iberian Peninsula or Spanish European possessions.

Though not jumping to a conclusion, I believe this is a replica of an old Spanish (or English) coin. As you can see in some places on the shield, the coin was plated or painted at some point.

It looks quite thick; I'm wondering if it might be a coin weight. I'd suggest weighing it, and seeing if the weight matches a particular Spanish gold coin.
