I've recently started selling some coins on ebay. I am a new collector and try my best to post high res pictures and even pay for the upgrade that allows for zoom.
I've recently sold 3 coins and with each coin I have included a 'surprise' coin.
One was a XF indian head, another was a Flying Eagle penny, and the last a AU Merc Dime.
All with at least $5 value to them.
Basically in hopes that I can in due time build a reputable seller account.
Any suggestions?

Just send the buyers what they bought and you will get good ratings. Fast shipment is also important to buyers. You do not have to throw in a free gift, just give them what they paid for.

You will do fine. All I expect as a buyer is to get my stuff fast and get what I saw and read about on the post. Be as honest as you can when you describe the item.

Answer any questions that they pose to you, answer them fast, so they know you are following your auctions.

Good luck!

You can build up feedback fast just by listing at least 50 items every month since you get at least 50 free listings every month from ebay.

I have occasionally listed an extra gift on an item but only if mine is one of many for sale and I want it to stand out just a little more. Generally I only give people what they pay for unless they are a repeat customer, buying similar items each time. As a buyer the most important thing to me is accurate photos and fast postage. Aim to post everything on the same day or next day after receiving payment.
Rest in Peace

with the above posters.

I would save the freebies for the best repeat customers. Just send the buyers what they purchased in a timely manner and package securely to protect the coins in transit.

hey dejan - the big thing is accurate descriptions and images - these will going a long way to helping you get a "good" name - as to freebies/surprises I wouldnt worry too much about them - good luck with things
