Hello, Kookieshell, and welcome!
John Roettier, a coin designer, found an interesting way to represent the denomination on Charles II's coins, one C for a penny, two interlocked C's for two pence (halfgroat), three for a threepence, and four for a groat. Otherwise many old UK coins don't even have a hint of the denomination other than some subtleties in the design or the size.
So your coin, 2 pence, must be only 14 mm in diameter and 1.0 gram in weight.
Traditionally British coins had Latin legend, often abbreviated, in your case meaning Charles II by the grace of god king of Great Britan, France, and Ireland.
A good site to peruse for old British coins is
Tony Clayton's Coins of the UK. Although, he doesn't have your coin. For Ch.II lower denomination (he calls them "Maundy Set") he has only undated early designs by Thomas Simon.
