I have only one book that partly covers the subject:
"Coins of Medieval Europe" by Philip Grierson, publ, by Seaby, London 1991.
It is very scholarly, and very well researched. Unfortunately, it may be quite hard and expensive to obtain now.

After reading this book, it may very well expand your numismatic interests into a much wider field of European hammered coinage. If that happens, this book will become front and centre to those interests.

I suggest that you get onto the Seaby's book publishing site in London, and find out what gives. Good Luck!

I Googled:
'ba seaby limited', and found an email address. Try that.
