tamarin Pillar of the Community Canada 576 Posts	Posted 02/28/2012 1:14 pm Seems to be a strong example. Worn but it looks to be the scarce 1882H Doubled Die, OC2/OC1. I've been led to believe that the Doubled Die coin in question always has a marker - a strong die break in the C of VICTORIA. This one doesn't seem to have it. Two of them have offset like the one in question. This is the one with the most offset, and the one featured in Charlton. The third doesn't have an offset and it is the one with the significant die crack at the C in Victoria in later die states. It is featured in Charlton on page 313. Take your loupe to the photo in the book and you'll see the die crack. Report this Post to the Staff
