Hello----In addition my albums I also do coin folders for circulated. My Dansco folder is full, 1959-1998 and I don't think they are going to expand to it. I bought a Littleton 1959-1998 and 1999 to present. The 1959 to 1998 has 90 holes
but my Dansco album has 92 holes. Did Littleton leave out some of the 1960 large and small dates or something else? Thanks---John

You would find that comparing quantities of holes in Albums and/or Folders from different manufacturers and/or even the same ones can differ. For example a Whitman made several years ago may not have some coin slots for coins later that Whitman decided on are not necessar. Or Littleton Albums may have spaces for coins Dansco does not. Even Albums made by Harris in the name of United States Mint are different than Harris ones.
And Folders are not usually a good idea for any coins.

Thanks, the folder came in the mail this week. The Dansco had four places
for 1960, 1960 large and small date and 1960D large and small date. The
Littleton holder has just 2 holes for 1960, one for P and one for D, no
large or small date . Also the 1970S does not have 2 places, a large and
small date S, just a 1970S. These coins are circulated, folders may NOT
be the best place but neither is an old mayonaise jar. Just my personal
opinion, YMMV----John

Yes and no. In a jar as long as you don't shake it, the coins are somewhat safe. Pending of course you removed the Mayonaise. Folders are usually bad for the reasons you
1. Push the coins into the slots with a thumb or finger.
2. You can not see the reverse of the coins.
3. Many folders have glue overspray on the rear of the slots and in a moist area, that glue goes onto the coins.
Many people wander why they find coins with dark streaks on the reverse. That is from that glue.
4. When people push the coins out of the slots, some fly out and fall on the table, chair, floor, etc.
5. Every time you open a Folder you expose the coins to possible touching or sneezing or coughing on them.

Thanks Carl, that's why I have a Dansco album for my uncirculated LMCs.
In my album you can see both sides and they are protected from the
"elements". My circulated are just that, circulated so I don't worry about
doing damage, it's already been done. This is the way I started out 40 plus
years ago and I still enjoy searching my piggy bank. Old habits die hard.---John
