This is for CCF auctions and sells only.

I have made a few purchases from some of our members over the last few weeks, no problems. but what is the right way to use PayPal with CCF members.

You have Purchase where you can send by using Goods or service, and the buyer has no fee, does the seller then have to pay the fee?

You have Personal, where you have Gift or Payment owed, if the seller says to use gift I do and pay the fee, which I don't mind. But I have read that if you use the gift part too often PayPal steps in.

Which is the right way or the friendly way to use PayPal here on CCF?

Thank you

If you want to play by the rules ... when purchasing goods/services ... someone has to pay the fee. Abuse of the "gift" option will eventually result in its elimination. Those scrooges at eBay/PayPal are adding alot more scrutiny to "gift" payments these days.

The right way and the friendly way sound like two different answers. People forget that sellers who accept credit cards are subject to fees as well.PayPal is no different, after all, if it weren't for fees, there would be no such thing. Also consider the fact that if you circumvent the fees, you lose the buyer protetion.

If the seller is eating the fee, then purchase. If you are, then personal.
