Found these at work today (expensive find)
Now the question, to keep or not to keep?
Any ideas?

Pictures coming.

I would keep the Radar and maybe the ones on either side of it.

In my opinion, the two shoulder notes (the two notes, before and after a radar) are only worth their face value, and really not worth keeping. If you sold these notes, you would have to find a buyer who is willing to pay the extra $200 just to have these notes together. I think many collectors (myself included) would rather not tie up $200 in face value notes to hold in our collection, while that money could be spent acquiring more numismatic items.

If they were $5 or $10 notes, then they might be worth keeping because they are relatively low denominations (they would still not be worth anything above face value).

I am thinking of turning them loose and waiting for a radar with only 3 numbers not 4. It is hard to let all 5 go or even the one.

Keep the actual radar note. But (IMO) you can get rid of the shoulder notes.

I concur with Canadian-Banknotes opinion regarding tying up $200 that could be spent elsewhere.

My thinking was that by having the two shoulder notes it helps validate the uncirculated condition of the radar, but in retrospect, that is an expensive validation!

I must have been a little "Mitt Romneyish" in my original response!
Rest in Peace

If there's a dealer in your area, take them all over and see what kind of offer you get.

Binary radars are much more desirable and rarer. Sell yours asap before the novelty wears off and save the other 4 to convert to 8 new $50s when they come out.

I saved the radar. Taking it to a dealer on Sunday, we'll see what happens.
